Hunting Dates and Directions

All meets are generally on a Saturday and always start at 1pm. We tend to meet in the pub beforehand from about 12pm.

Meet Type

North East Cheshire Drag Hunt builds and maintains jumps on all the land that we hunt over, these are typically in boundary fencing, hedges and walls.

Here are the definitions of the meet ratings.

Premium:
Post and rail jumps (maximum height approx 2'6" unless optional) on every leg, all of which have to be jumped to complete the leg.  There are some small hedges as well as plenty of larger hedges - all optional.

Normal:
Post and rail jumps (maximum height approx 2'6" unless optional) on every leg, all of which have to be jumped to complete the leg. Occasional small hedges and walls which are optional.

Introduction to hunting:
Post and rail jumps (maximum height approx 2'6") on every leg, with a way round all of the jumps - either through nearby gates, gaps in fences, alternative routes round a field etc. There will be two Field Masters, one taking the jumping field, the other the non-jumping field.

Children and beginners:
Some small post and rail jumps (maximum height approx 2'6") in the middle of fields, all of which are optional.
